games to try before you die

Skydiving, flying a plane, and using a jet pack would be some pretty sweet stuff to do. Due to the fact that is cost way to much money to even do any of these things, I have to resort to video games for my adventures. Taking advantage of the Mode 6 engine of the SNES, Pilotwings was a pretty sweet game!

Cartoons back in the 90's were just awesome...I try watching them today and think to myself, "How the hell did I watch this?!" But when your a kid, you really don't give a crap man. Rail shooters were all the rage back in the day man, just shoot everything in sight! Typical games like Virtua Cop, Lethal Enforcers, Time Crisis are still fun in the arcades today. Nothing was as awesome and bloody as the original House of the Dead!

Oh man it's GOLDENEYE! Most of you already know what the heck I am talking about, it's FREAKIN' GOLDENEYE MAN! This game revolutionized first person shooters that we know today. If there was no Goldeneye, what would all nighters be like without 20 cans of Surge, a large bowl of BBQ chips, and 4 friends to punch? (especially if one of them was Oddjob...)

Look at the games that we have today. They look all nice and polished and stuff, we strive for realism in games all of the time. If it doesn't look real, it looks like crap. The game that pretty much started it all! First person shooters today are the big gaming genre. Everyone is playing first person shooters! Online play, noob killers, blah blah blah....but don't forget your roots! It all has to start somewhere. Before you were killing other people in other countries, you were killing demons from HELL! Dude....it's freakin' Duck Hunt....the real question is, who hasn't played Duck Hunt? It was the free game that you got with your NES back in the day. When you were not playing Super Mario Bros with your buds, you were shooting ducks....and hopefully that damn dog that laughed at you when you missed....I hated that dog.

Games can be difficult....games today are easy...games back then were designed to be frustrating and have you chuck your game controller or system against the wall. There is game is pretty much impossible to beat unless you have a Game Genie attached to your game, cause this game will kick your ass. I have played it for ever 15 years, and I STILL CAN"T BEAT IT!

Sometimes hand-held gaming does not get enough love...hence why this weeks Games To Try Before You Die is a hand-held game. I have been playing this game quite a bit lately since you can download it onto you Nintendo 3DS. Even though there is only like 4 worlds, you will keep playing those 4 worlds for freakin' ever.

So I may be dating myself here pretty hardcore, cause I wasn't even born when this game graced the Atari 2600. The cool thing about Atari games, is that you can get some amazing drinking games out of them. Since it is all about scoring the highest score. One of the best drinking games could come from CIRCUS ATARI!
