Outreach Initiatives: June 2011 – May 2012
- Unpaid Internship Program – Townsquare Media taught 23 college/young professionals with our unpaid internship program during the reporting period.
- Michigan Association of Broadcasters – November 4, 2011. Rich Berry – Sales Manager, represented Townsquare Media at this Career Fair providing opportunities to learn about broadcasting careers.
- Student Tours of the radio station for the Association for the Blind on June 29, 2011. Hope Network visited the station on Nov 11, 2011
- Career Fair Grand Valley State University – March 20, 2011. Niki Bloem, Dave Kim, Wendy Galer and Andrew Green attended and discussed opportunities within Townsquare Media at this Career Fair.
- Job Shadow – April 19, 2012, a group of 4 students from Hackett Christian school, Gull Lake School, Vicksburg and Comstock schools job shadowed with Craig Russell. On April 20, 2012 another group of 4 students from Schoolcraft school, Gull Lake and Vicksburg schools came in and job shadowed with Craig. Craig taught them all aspects of radio broadcasting – on –air performance, commercial production, behind the scenes promotional and public appearance etiquette.
- MABF Broadcast Media Career & Networking Fair – Gene Parker – Production Director, represented Townsquare Media at this Career Fair on Mach 14, 2012. Gene was able to inform a high volume of people about career opportunities with Townsquare Media.
- Davenport University Career Fair – Bill Campbell – Digital Sales Manager represented Townsquare Media at this Career Fair on March 21, 2012.
