City of Grand Rapids Offering More Than 40 Fitness Classes Starting Soon
Looking to get active this fall and winter? The City of Grand Rapids is offering a bunch of budget-friendly fitness classes starting soon!
City of Grand Rapids Dance and Fitness Classes
The City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department announced this recently that registration is now open for adult fitness classes running mid November through the end of December 2023.
You can choose from over 40 virtual or in person yoga, cardio, dance, and fitness classes for people of all ages and abilities.
Offerings include:
- Line Dancing
- Rowing
- Zumba
- Cycling
- Water Aerobics
- Barre
- Kettleball AMPD
- Slow Flow Yoga
- Gentle Music Movement
- Tai Kwon Do
- Ballroom Dancing
- Pound

You can register online at grandrapidsmi.gov/recgr, over the phone at 616-456-3696 (choose option one), or in person at 201 Market Ave SW.
How Much Do Grand Rapids Fitness Classes Cost?
While Grand Rapids does offer free fitness classes in the summer, the recently announced Nov.- Dec. 2023 classes are not free - but still a pretty great deal!
Prices range from $21 to $35 and usually meet once a week for over a month.

If you're looking for free work-out options, there's an outdoor fitness court at Ottawa Hills Park.
There are also outdoor fitness stations at Canal and Sixth Street Parks and climbing walls at Highland Park that are free to use!
