To pump us up for the show, guitarist Ben Bruce and drummer James Cassells stopped by GRD. We had a lot of fun talking about the new album The Black, what it's like working with new lead singer Denis Stoff, their new song "Here I am", and more (including penis size in relation to getting older...)

In January 2015, former Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop left the band to work with his other project We are Harlot.

After searching for a few months, the band announced their new lead singer: Denis Stoff, of Ukranian band Make Me Famous.

Ben and James both say Denis fit in right away it doesn't feel like he's a new member, it just feels natural. (Ben mentions he's become accustomed to Denis farting in the bunk above him on the bus.)

As far as how they found Denis, YouTube played a role. Ben says,

"A few years ago, he [Denis] sort of got YouTube famous.... I remember years ago, finding a cover of him doing one of our songs in his bedroom and I said to our vocalist at the time, 'Watch out! This guy might take your spot one day, ha ha ha...' Fast forwarding to four years later and that's the reality."

The new album, The Black, comes out March 25. Preorder it now here! In talking about the new album, James and Ben said:

"There's a lot of variety in the songs. There's some really heavy ones, some anthemic ones, some sing alongs... There's a bit of everything on it... I think we've put a lot more heart and soul and effort into this record than we ever have before, almost like we had something to prove because we lost a vocalist.

We debuted Asking Alexandria's new song, "Here I am" on GRD. Here's how the guys describe it:

"It's a huge arena rock anthem, lighters in the air, tears rolling down the face, maybe grab the person next to you and give them a quick kiss just because you're so excited... you know, an epic boob shot, it wouldn't be just like a chick is flashing her tits, it's slow motion jumping up and down-- boom. That's what it is."

Here's their new song, "Here I am" -- what do you think, can you see the slow motion, epic boob shots in your mind?

Before stopping by GRD, Asking Alexandria saw our friends at WZZM-13. Here's video of their performance!
