We never would have pinned Syracuse punks Perfect Pussy as Bruce Springsteen fans. But their new cover of his classic 'Candy's Room' proves us wrong.

The song comes from Springsteen's 1978 landmark album 'Darkness on the Edge of Town.' It's about a girl who lives in her own kind of darkness, and Perfect Pussy frontwoman Meredith Graves embodies this spirit thoroughly in her band's cover.

The noise band speeds up the pace of the song, and the instruments drown out some of Graves' vocals, but we wouldn't want it any other way. Give it a listen.

And here's Springsteen's original version, in case you're not familiar with it.
