When many people think of summer, Jimmy Buffett immediately comes to mind. For roughly four decades, he toured outdoor summer venues like Pine Knob, consistently drawing big crowds and nearly selling out venues wherever he performed.

Buffett was one of those artists whose songs everyone seemed to know. From “Margaritaville” and “Come Monday” to “A Pirate Looks at Forty,” “Fins,” and, of course, “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” his music became the soundtrack to countless summers.

The Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival began as a small three-day event in 1999 and has since grown into a massive 10-day celebration, running through August 23, 2026. The festival transforms the town, with burger stands on nearly every corner, live tropical music, activities for all ages, the Parade of Tropical Fools, and plenty of vendors and local retailers.

Caseville has around 652 year-round residents, but that number skyrockets during the Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival, which attracts between 100,000 and 200,000 visitors each year. The highlight for many is the Parade of Tropical Fools, which draws around 30,000 cheeseburger-loving fans to town.
