MLive reported that while Michigan State Police were investigating a motorcycle crash in Southwest Michigan, a goat showed up at the scene. The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, in Lockport Township.

After the rider crashed into a guardrail on River Road near Lambert Road, he fled the scene. Michigan State Police then called in a K-9 unit to help search for the missing motorcyclist.

Troopers were unable to locate the mystery motorcyclist, but an unexpected visitor arrived to give the MSP a hoof. No one knows where the goat came from, but it had no problem wandering all over the scene, sniffing around for something to eat, and eventually hopping into a police cruiser.
