Yesterday was a long day.

Once we got into the studio, we basically reconstructed "Bloody Sunrise" from the ground up.

I'm so excited about the work we did, I think it really made the song come alive. At the very end of the session, we finished mixing "Follow."

I'm looking forward to living with it for a few days. Hopefully, after hearing it with fresh ears, we all agree that it's finished so we can cross it off the to-do list!

After the session, we went out with our producers to have a celebratory drink at one of my favorite dive bars. It's called the Star Lite Lounge. While we were there, a friend of a friend found "Reno" on the Internet jukebox and played it. That was fun to hear because I hadn't heard the recording in quite a while.

I'm sitting at a cafe on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles this morning drinking what might be the strongest coffee I've ever had, and certainly not complaining about it. I'm ready to rock today! At the crack of noon we're going to set up in a friend's rehearsal studio to polish up the live show, and arrange a few new songs to add into the live show.

We're always thinking of everybody back home and we hope you're all staying safe and warm! Spring is coming! Don't forget to get your The Intersection VIP tickets at sectionlive.com!

Thanks to everyone who calls themselves a Wayland Warrior, we're making this record for you just as much as we are for ourselves. Everyone in the Wayland camp is healthy and in good spirit. We're looking forward to the rest of 2014.
