New West Side Playground to be Built, Needs Volunteers and Donations
A new playground is set to be built on the west side of Grand Rapids on June 16. The playground is coming to the site of the former Pulaski Park. Volunteers are needed to help build the park and donations are needed to build a trail.
Steepletown Neighborhood Services is organizing the new playground which is coming to the corner of 5th St. and Muskegon Ave.
There are two ways to help:
- Help build the playground on June 16. Call Janet Piccolo if you are able to volunteer, 616-822-8008.
- Buy a brick to help raise money for a path to connect the sidewalk with the playground. The bricks can be engraved and will become a part of the pathway.
As summer begins and kids spend more time outdoors, this new playground will provide another opportunity for kids on the west side to have a fun and safe place to play.
