Looking to get some fresh ink? There's a new tattoo shop on the West Side of Grand Rapids.

Copper Coin Tattoo Parlor is now open 436 Leonard St. NW. A grand opening is tentatively scheduled for March 11, but currently the shop is open daily 12-8 p.m.

According to City Wide Real Estate Services, the store features an entrance area, which allows customers to walk through a “speakeasy style” door from a “Double C Convenience” store into a reception area and multiple tattoo stations.

CityWide co-owner Tina Emert tells Grand Rapids Business Journal,

There’s always more that can be done, but big picture, this project will successfully build on the history of the West Grand neighborhood by providing its homeowners, commuters, nonprofits, residential and commercial tenants and travelers a more vibrant and useful opportunity to live, conduct business and serve.

Copper Coin is owned by Patrick VanSandlyne and Mark Fettig, who work alongside the other tattoo artists.

They say their shop is committed to:

  • Professional artists
  • Top level tattooing
  • Honest rates
  • Cleanliness

Owner Mark Fettig shares on Instagram Copper Coin is looking for one more tattoo artist to round out their crew, reach out to him here if you are interested.
