Bridge Street has welcomed the Bridge Street Bar: "Where Grand Rapids meets Detroit."

Rob Wahl, co-owner of the Win Tavern in Jenison, is behind the new pub and restaurant. Wahl grew up in Detroit and he aims to blend his passion for Detroit sports and its iconic food scene with the vibrant culture of Grand Rapids.

Wahl told Crain's Grand Rapids,

The bar at 600 Bridge Street is full of Detroit sports memorabilia, including a highway exit sign for the old Tigers Stadium.

Fans of the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons will definitely feel right at home here! And with eight TVs, including one on the patio, it's a great place to catch a game.

At Bridge Street Bar enjoy scratch-made food in a welcoming, dive bar atmosphere. On the menu you'll find chili-cheese fries, hand-pattied smash burgers, chicken tenders, pierogis, sandwiches, and a variety of hot dogs, including the Detroit dog which features chili mustard and onion. There's also the Bridge dog with ketchup, mustard, onion, and chili.

For drinks, Bridge Street Bar offers spirits and beers from Detroit and West Michigan.

The new bar is open seven days a week. Kitchen hours are Sunday through Tuesday 11a.m. to midnight, Thursday through Saturday 11a.m. to 2a.m.
