Tailgaters heading to Saturday's game might get an unexpected visit from researchers at Michigan and Michigan State asking for a urine sample. According to Michigan State University, the two schools are teaming up for an event called "Piss Off" to raise awareness about the potential uses of wastewater.

The two schools will compete to see which can collect the most urine on game day. A designated, enclosed area will be set up at the Ann Arbor Golf Club near gates 2 and 4 of the stadium, where fans who urinate while standing can donate a sample for a good cause. The collected urine will be turned into a nutrient-rich fertilizer that can help horticultural crops grow. While urine can't be used to fertilize food crops, it can still be very effective in helping plants thrive. Once the fertilizer is ready, both universities plan to use it in their agricultural fields.
