A police dog from the Grand Rapids Police Department was seriously injured while trying to apprehend a suspect on the city's northwest side on Sunday night.
On Thursday there were two shooting incidents on Leonard Street in Grand Rapids within a matter of hours. The first was a drive-by, injuring a 17-year-old and four-year-old.
The second occurred around 10:20 p.m. close to the Shell Station at the corner of Alpine Avenue and Leonard Street.
Police are investigating a shooting Thursday afternoon on Grand Rapids' northeast side.
