Mattresses are a pain to get rid of. They're bulky, awkward, and most of the time you have to pay to dispose of them. But if you’ve been staring at that saggy mattress in your bedroom and thinking, “I need this gone yesterday,” there’s some good news. Grand Rapids residents have a chance to part with their mattresses for free at a one-day recycling event!

Other Important Info

You’ll need to be able to unload your mattress from your vehicle yourself, so bring a friend if you think you’ll need extra hands. 10 Things to Donate to West Michigan Food Banks You Probably Wouldn't Think Of

Want to give back?

One easy way to give back is to donate to local food banks, but don't just bring those cans of corn and beans that have been hanging out in your pantry for an unknown amount of time - bring some things to the food bank that they need, but you wouldn't necessarily think of.
