One-of-a-Kind Pirate Pontoon Ship Now for Sale in Michigan
Always dreamed of being captain of your own pirate ship? Here’s your chance! Right here in Michigan, a one-of-a-kind pirate pontoon ship is up for sale. It's perfect for a bit of modern-day swashbuckling on the Great Lakes.
From Pontoon to Pirate Ship: The Transformation
As someone who’s always wanted a pontoon boat, I can tell you this isn’t your average weekend vessel. This is a one-of-a-kind pirate pontoon ship, built by JKR Custom Fabrication, a shop in St. Johns that fixes up cars and boats—and occasionally turns wild ideas into reality. They documented the transformation on YouTube, showing how a 2004, 24-foot Starcraft pontoon became a 30-foot, fully decked-out pirate ship over the course of about a year. The final product hit the water just a few months ago.

It features two cabins: a front cabin that’s 8 feet wide, 6 feet deep, and 4 feet tall, perfect for storage or a cozy hangout. The larger rear cabin is 8 feet wide, 10 feet deep, and 6 feet tall, with room for a small bed, a bar, and even a porta-potty “bathroom” for those longer lake days.
Command the Ship from the Second Deck
Up top, the second deck holds the steering and controls, giving the captain a full view of the lake while commanding the ship. Towering above are three 25-foot masts that give it that unmistakable pirate vibe.

Motor, Performance, and Lake-Ready Specs
Power comes from a 2005 Mercury 90HP motor, which pushes the vessel to around 15 miles per hour—enough to cruise in style without feeling rushed. According to the builder, everything is solidly built, from the woodwork to the flooring, and it comes with a trailer for easy transport.
