Michigan’s Vast Network of Dedicated Bike Trails
If you’re a cyclist, Michigan offers an extensive network of more than 1,300 to 2,600 miles of dedicated trails, making it one of the top states in the country for trail infrastructure.
Michigan offers a wide range of biking trails for all conditions and skill levels, from paved state rail-trails to rugged mountain bike singletrack and scenic fat-tire routes for winter riding.

When riding these types of trails, having the right equipment is essential for both safety and maximizing enjoyment. I learned this firsthand while riding the Dragon Trails around Hardy Pond, once my son and I upgraded our bikes and protective gear suited for the terrain, our experience improved dramatically, and it has since become one of our favorite activities to do together.
