February 27, 2016 marked the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. Part of the celebration included a flock/herd/summoning of Pikachu in Times Square and the greater Manhattan area. When a giant group of Pokemon march through New York City, you can't help but take notice... or try to catch one.

Everyone's favorite droid made his Oscar debut last night with C3PO and R2D2 to pay tribute to composer John Williams. I was not invited to be his date, and I'm quite bitter about it. My BFF BB-8 didn't even tell me that he was going to be there! What kind of a friend does that?

Don't get me wrong, I loved everything about the Pokemon commercial shown during the Super Bowl, but I'm pretty sure the franchise just passed up their best opportunity to announce Pokemon Go!.

A garbage truck fueled by natural gas exploded last week in New Jersey. Even though the smell of burning trash must have been awful, the explosion is really, really cool.
