February 27, 2016 marked the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. Part of the celebration included a flock/herd/summoning of Pikachu in Times Square and the greater Manhattan area. When a giant group of Pokemon march through New York City, you can't help but take notice... or try to catch one.

According to Mashable, the army of 20 Pikachu required a huge amount of planning and guidance. The costumes, which required inflation to be as large as they were, weren't easy to maneuver or see out of. Thus, the Pikachu required handlers to guide them around NYC, with whistle commands directing the movements of the adorable electric rodents.

Probably one of the funniest/cutest moments of the march occurred when one Pikachu bumped into another, causing the victimized Pikachu to show its adorable aggravation (which you can see here).

Congrats on 20 years, Pokemon!
