We're into my favorite month of the year, since we get Halloween at the end of it! I usually take October to watch as many horror movies as I can, and see if there are any new ones coming out to go see. On Oct. 29, "Horns" comes out, and it looks pretty good.

There's a new movie coming out, going back to the old "Ouija board summons evil crap" storyline. It's just called Ouija.   Remember Witchboard? This looks sort of like that. Have you ever done the whole Ouija thing? I mean, seriously? I tried it at the last radio station I worked for, since there have been tons of reports of ghosts in the station building.

I will admit to being a geek about some things.  Not as crazy as Metalhead Ned is about gaming and KISS, but I do have my obsessions.  (No, YouPorn is not one of them, shut it.) Oh, the '80s. It was a glorious decade. So many great things came from it, including the made-for-TV movie. And this one might be one of the best.

It used to take weeks and months to make CGI characters look and move like real people for movies, but now technology is getting so good and powerful that a lot can be done in real time. Check out these guys who are making a movie titled "Construct".  The movie looks pretty bad-ass, and the tech behind it is pretty freakin' cool, too!

I'm really excited about the new Arnold movie coming out this weekend, Sabotage.  There's a bad-ass red band trailer you can check out, that takes you back to the old days when Arnold was kicking ass and blowing up everyone. This is what I like from Arnold, and now that he's not in public office anymore, he's gone back full-bore into movies.

I am so geeked.  I remember it like yesterday, Mrs Dalecki's 7th grade english class we had to read, The Giver, by Lois Lowry. I think I remember it because whenever we "had" to read a book in class I automatically shut off. I love to read but when I was told I had to in class I was on to spark notes and barely a chapter through the book when I was supposed to be finished.

Over the last few weeks, a new movie has been filming around Grand Rapids, and here at the WGRD studios.  Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segel are starring in the movie "The End of the Tour", and have been wandering around our building. I high-fived Jason Segel in the elevator.  He was very nice.
