Johnnie Walker

I've never been good at filling these things out, but here it goes. I like long walks in cold mountain air, preferably with snow on the ground. I enjoy drinking fine soda by the crackling fire, and deep tissue massage. I hope to one day grow up an become and astronaut, so I can fly to Venus to see if that's really where women come from. If it's true, I'll bring one back for you, too. Unless it's a dude you want, and then you're out of luck...sorry. My favorite month is October, because Halloween is the best holiday ever! It allows me to openly proclaim my love and obsession with scary movies without being seen as some sort of lunatic. Okay, not too much of a lunatic. I'm a huge fan of rock and metal music, and you'll often hear me blasting the control room speakers into oblivion every night during my show. My engineer doesn't like me very much, since he has to fix them. Sorry, Mike.

Is Your Impersonation as Bad as Johnnie’s Accidental Optimus Prime?

Godsmack's "I Stand Alone" was on the radio during my show a little while ago, and I was sitting in the studio, singing along...or should I say, trying to sing along, when I noticed that my Sully Erna voice isn't so much Sully Erna, as it is Optimus Prime.

How did I get that far off the mark?

I'm not sure.  But for some reason, whenever I try to do vocals like Sully's, my voice goes into Optimus mode.  It's freaking weird.

That got me thinking...when you're singing along with something, or trying to impersonate someone's voice...what do you actually sound like?

Universal is Rebooting the Universal Monsters Movies Universe

Universal is taking some tips from Marvel, and they've got an entire universe of monster movies planned over the next several years.  They're taking all their classic monsters: Dracula, the Mummy, Werewolf, and Frankenstein, and rebooting them all in a new series of films!  Yes!

The (sort of) first one is the new movie Dracula Untold, that's out at Celebration Cinemas right now.

JW Tool Tall
I'm too tall for the new studio.

This Video Shows What It’s Really Like to Be Tall

In case we haven't met in person, be warned.  I'm a tall guy.  Probably a little taller than is absolutely necessary.

A lot of people think it's just the coolest thing ever to be tall, but they don't take into consideration all the hassles that come with it.  This video covers some of them...but still misses a few.

Before their show with You Me at Six and Stars in Stereo, Young Guns came by the WGRD studios to talk about the band, the touring, and to play a few songs exclusively for us!

They broke out the acoustic guitars and rocked a few of their songs, like their number one hit, "Bones", one of my favorites, "Meter and Verse", and their latest single, "I Want Out".
