Anyone Else Remember This From Middle School?

I am so geeked.  I remember it like yesterday, Mrs Dalecki's 7th grade english class we had to read, The Giver, by Lois Lowry. I think I remember it because whenever we "had" to read a book in class I automatically shut off. I love to read but when I was told I had to in class I was on to spark notes and barely a chapter through the book when I was supposed to be finished.

I'm so late on the news here but The Giver is now being made into a movie with Meryl Streep. The giver is in my mind so hard because this book was different than others, I cracked it open to ready chapter one for class and even though my mind was wandering because I was being forced to read this, I ended up loving the book and reading the whole thing.
