Longtime Detroit Lions' kicker Jason Hanson has announced that he will be retiring from the team. Hanson has been a member of the Lions' team for 21 seasons, and is the longest tenured player in the NFL.
September 24, 2012 Kid Rock will release a new studio album called Rebel Soul on November 19th. "Let's Ride" will be the first single from the album. Rebel Soul was produced by Kid Rock and will be his 9th studio album. Rebel Soul follows 1990's Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast, 1993's The Polyfuze Method, 1996's Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp, 1998's Devil Without A Cause, 2001's Cocky, 2003's Kid Rock, 2007's Rock N Roll Jesus, and 2010's Born Free in the Kid Rock discography.

November 27, 2011 I spent my Thanksgiving at Ford Field to watch the Lions attempt to compete against the best team in football right now. From my 2nd row seats I settled in for the afternoon for what I thought was gonna be a shoot out by two high-octane potent football teams but after Smith went out with an injury and Suh decided to do some foot stompin', about the only thing I had to look forward to was the Ford Field crowd reaction to the half time entertainment Nickelback
November 17, 2011 The Detroit Lions are once again playing on Thanksgiving Day this year. The annual tradition sees the team taking on the undefeated Green Bay Packers, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The game is SOLD OUT, but of course GRD has your hook up with tickets!

I gotta admit I'm starting to sip the Lions kool aid. I do wanna believe the Lions are for real so I have the cup to my lips and I'm thinking about drinking a full cup. Please understand I've held off for as long as I can but with a 4-0 start with two of those being come from behind victories how can you blame me?

July 26, 2011 Ahhhh....everything seems right with world now. The NFL players and NFL owners are laughing together, back slapping each other, giving noogies and finally at peace. It’s now okay to plan your fantasy football drafts without asterisks and contingency plans attached to every proposed draft date and best of all is the realization that we won’t have to spend our Sundays in the fall watching professional bowling.

April 30, 2011 Second round draft action last night nets the Lions Boise State receiver Titus Young. I like this pick as Young ends up being a great needs pick for a team that can especially use the play making capabilities: the Lions ranked 26th last year in average per pass attempt.
