Sleepwave is currently on tour with Nothing More here in the US, and hit The Stache on Thursday night, August 7th, in Grand Rapids.  It was a fantastic show, and if you missed it, you missed a great concert!

Before the show, Spencer and Steven, the masterminds behind Sleepwave stopped by the WGRD studios to talk about the beginnings of the band, the recording of the new album, Broken Compass, which comes out September 12th, and more!

Spencer, about the producer, David Bendith:

He really works you to the point where you want to hate him while you're there...but you want away being a better musician.  I really felt like I'd been pushed to a limit I'd never been pushed to before, and you might hate that there, but I could never thank him enough for that.

On the music video for "Through the Looking Glass":

We had a video, and none of us were too happy with it.  We went the legit way, and we were just kind of like, "Let's just do it ourselves.  We can do this."  We know what we want, we know what we want it to look like, we have a very talented friend who's got an eye for film.  Rented some cameras, rented some crew, and we just worked really hard.
