Billie Joe Armstrong will return to Broadway

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will reprise the role of St. Jimmy in the Broadway musical American Idiot.

Armstrong will commit to 50 more dates from January 1-February 27 at St. James Theatre in New York City.  The singer played the role of St. Jimmy earlier this year, significantly raising ticket sales for the production based on Green Day's 2004 American Idiot album.
