After finding life beyond just a CD or digital download as a hit Broadway production, Green Day's American Idiot concept album will now be adapted into a feature film. And who better to play the lead role of St. Jimmy than the man who created him: Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong.
The American Idiot musical will get a new cast of performers come March 1 and the role of St. Jimmy will go to another rock star. AFI singer Davey Havok will take the reigns of the character from Green Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong.
