Last year, I posted 5 games you could play with your Valentine! Well, Valentines Day is this week and you STILL don't have a ton of money to buy a box of chocolates, dozen roses, and even a White Castle dinner (Why don't we have White Castle in Grand Rapids, MI)! However, you have over $300 worth of video gaming bliss! Cuddle on the couch, grab a controller, and start gaming!
Cleveland, OH industrial metal group Mushroomhead has finally announced their new album and is set to release in May! Mushroomhead's last album named 'Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children' came out in in 2010.
The Carnival of Chaos has been missing from the metal scene for a good few years. The Carnival of Chaos is one of Michigan's premiere METAL FESTIVALS complete with body suspension, tattooing, piercing, camping, wet t-shirt contest, and most importantly...over 70 metal bands! This year, it all comes back to Moreland Motorcross Park in Stanton for three days!
Humorcore band Psychostick has brought out another fine metal tune into the world.
If you have never seen or heard Psychostick, it is one of the funniest bands you can mosh and laugh too. They even have a song where they put a sombrero on someone in the audience and proceed to play a song where the audience attempts to grab the sombrero as violently as possible, but all in good fun though!
The 2014 GRD Heavyweights have been taking over The Intersection the past few weeks, and have been kicking a ton of ass! The best local metal and hard rock bands have been performing like crazy to get your vote to make it to the finals on Feb. 14th! 2 bands from each night are chosen by you to move on, Round 3 brought out Grand Rapids, MI band LAKESHORE DRIVE!
"Metalhead Ned. Why are you called Metalhead Ned? You don't play metal on air!"
That's an interesting point, when did you need to play metal on air in order to be a metalhead?
I support local metal; and I listen pretty much exclusively to bands like Lamb of God, Behemoth, Dethklok, Amon Amarth, Hatebreed, Mushroomhead, etc. I live a metal lifestyle, and everyday at the office you can find me in a black concert shirt.
That brings me to remember my first metal concert experience!
I really don't hope that the good news of fresh concert announcements stops! New ones just keep getting announced every day, and it just keeps getting better and better. Well, we have another one for you and it is hitting the Orbit Room on April 21, and that is CHEVELLE!
Not so recently, I did a post of my favorite Super Nintendo games, and it was a very difficult list to come up with. After the Super Nintendo, the next console that I owned was the Nintendo 64. Honestly, it was the last game console that I was TRULY excited about. My bro
