Schmup this and Schmup that, BOOM, CRASH, HOMING MISSLES MOTHER &*$&#(!

If you watched This Level Sucks, you may get that reference.

The friendly folks at The Gaming Warehouse seem to like me quite a bit and we are working together to bring you the first ever GAME OF THE MONTH!

The first one we will take a look at, is Tiger-Heli for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

I took about an hour of my time to try out this game, and I had a blast. I was told by Gaming Warehouse guru Sam that I needed to try it, and he wasn't wrong about this one.

  • The game was released in 1985, so it's an oldie but a goodie. You can either play single player or two player, so grab a buddy and shoot some stuff. Like most shoot-em up games, having a 2nd player with you always enhances the experience, and it really did with this game.
  • Like most NES games, it has quite the difficulty. One hit and you're dead! However, you do have 3 lives, so basically 3 hits and you are officially dead!

Keeping a keen eye and quick reaction is what this game is all about, like most schmups.

  • My favorite thing about this game is the 2 player inclusion and the familiar shoot em up formula. There were plenty of times where I would ask my friend to give me a hand on some difficult parts and proceed to say, "Dude, what the flip!" when they didn't assist me, but that's what happens when you play a 2 player shoot em up!

It's a fun game, and if you have an NES, this one should NOT be missing from your collection. You might also find one in an arcade somewhere too!

If you need your retro fix, new game, board games, table top games, etc. The Gaming Warehouse is the place you gotta check out! They have pretty much anything you need in the world of gaming, even Magic: The Gathering!
