UPDATE: Wood TV 8 reports two people were killed in a shooting in Wyoming around 5p.m. on Wednesday. According to police, the two victims, a 16-year-old male and a 20-year-old male, were walking together near the area of Division Ave. and Wilbur St. when they were shot from a vehicle that had multiple people inside of it. ORIGINAL STORY: Police are investigating a shooting in Wyoming that left on person dead Wednesday afternoon.

Wood TV 8 reports the shooting occurred shortly before 5p.m. near the intersection of Division Avenue and Wilbur Street SE.

According to police, two people were shot. One person was killed and the other has been transported to a hospital. The condition of the surviving victim is unknown at this time.

This is a  developing story.

It has been a violent week in the area, with eleven people hospitalized in four separate shootings in Grand Rapids over the weekend.

Earlier Wednesday, Grand Rapids Police Department issued a press release saying it would be "bolstering its proactive engagement and strategic enforcement in response to recent gun violence across the city."
