Ada Haradine Murder Case
Ada Haradine, a stay-at-home-mom of two boys, lived in Elkhart, Indiana. Her husband Ed Haradine was the president of the furniture company Carlton Manufacturing Inc.
May 8, 1985, Ada was last seen in her backyard.
Just a short time later, one of her sons arrived home on the school bus - and Ada was gone. She'd left all her belongings behind and nothing in the home seemed out of place. Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office Investigator, Dave Gizzi, tells WBST-22,
The only thing strange at the home, was that there was nothing strange.
Police investigated and conducted interviews. Tips came in. Still, the case remained unsolved. Three years later, Ada's remains were found by mushroom hunters in rural Cass County, Mich. Just north of Union, the location was about 20 minutes from her home, the South Bend Tribune reports.
