Child, 3, Hurt After Stranger Puts Him in Croc Habitat

A 30-year-old man is accused of intentionally placing a 3-year-old boy in a crocodile enclosure at the Johnsons of Old Hurst Zoo in the United Kingdom, according to WZZM. Police say there is no indication the suspect knew the child beforehand. He has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The 3-year-old sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing as police interview staff members and witnesses who were present during the incident. Authorities are also assisting the boy's family at the hospital. The zoo has temporarily shut down the crocodile exhibit out of respect for the family while the investigation continues.
