Serial Killer Last Meals Served At Michigan Restaurant
If you're a true crime buff and would like to eat the same last meals that were served to serial killers, these types of dinners are a specialty at a Michigan restaurant.
The Last Meal for Death Row Prisoners
The "last meal" started in United States prisons around the late 19th/early 20th century with modern prisons. There is a myth that originates from ancient superstitions about appeasing the dead by feeding the condemned to prevent haunting linking it to the Last Supper.
A death row prisoner's last meal is usually a personalized choice, often classic American comfort foods like steaks, burgers, fried chicken, French fries, and ice cream. This gives the death row inmate the final taste of normalcy.
The last meal is usually restricted by state rules due to keeping the meal in a reasonable cost. Some death row prisons choose something simple like a bowl of chocolate chip ice cream or even a single olive.
