I’m old enough to have seen how parenting and discipline have changed over generations. My grandparents had their way of disciplining children, my parents had theirs, and now I have my own way of disciplining my son when he does something wrong that warrants punishment.

The purpose is not to break a child’s spirit, but to help them develop an understanding of right and wrong.

According to WZZM, a Minnesota teenager allegedly became enraged after his parents took away his cellphone privileges. Authorities say the 16-year-old shot his mother in the abdomen and injured his father and a bystander in the legs
