I used to be an avid skier and still love to go occasionally but wanted to try snowboarding but at my age, this could lead to hip replacement surgery. A group of snowboarders will compete on the streets of a Michigan city this weekend.

The Jibba Jabba Rail Jam event doesn't happen at your normal ski resort, this snowboarding freestyle competition is held on Huron Street, in Houghton, Michigan.

According to Visit Keweenaw, the City of Houghton has a bunch of dump trucks bring in snow that is piled from Huron Street to Houghton Waterfront Pier where a professional snowboard course designed by Dustin Reed and built with rails, jumps, and everything needed to give snowboarders and fans a site to see.

Jibba Jabba is free to attend and a blast for those heading to the Upper Peninsula this weekend.
