Police Bust Newaygo Co. Party, Seize Drugs and Firearms
Police breaking up a house party isn’t unusual, but it’s rare for a gathering in a rural area like this to result in drug arrests and felony firearm charges.
Typical Michigan House Party
A typical Michigan house party is usually a laid-back, BYOB (bring your own booze) get-together with beer, snacks, and a packed kitchen or backyard, often centered around sports, music, or a bonfire.
Common elements include a game of Euchre, summer graduation open houses with food out for hours, and easygoing, friendly crowds.
No matter the house party, one thing is almost always true: the parents are away, and the teenagers are ready to play.
