Man Arrested After Relative Stabbed During Family Argument

According to MLive, a 56-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 23-year-old family member on Sunday, June 28, 2026, around 5 p.m. The victim later went to a local police department with a stab wound to his chest. Officers provided aid until an ambulance transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to the home where the stabbing occurred and, after interviewing the suspect and witnesses, arrested the suspect and took him into custody.

The argument escalated into a physical altercation, though it is not yet known what the dispute was about. The suspect is currently being held in Cass County Jail pending arraignment.
