Michigan State Police have expanded their Angel Program to include every Michigan State Police post. The program allows anyone struggling with addiction to seek help without fear of arrest.

The Michigan State Police Angel Program allows people struggling with drug addiction to visit any Michigan State Police post during regular business hours and ask for assistance. If accepted into the program, the individual will receive a professional substance abuse assessment to help with treatment placement.

The Angel Program was founded in 2015 by the Massachusetts Police Department.

37 people in Michigan have been treated since the Michigan State Police Angel Program began.
