According to WOOD TV 8, former GRPD Officer Bryan Casey was arrested by Michigan State Police after crashing his vehicle near I-96 and Fulton Street early on Memorial Day morning. Authorities say the charges stem from what he allegedly did before the crash, including breaking and entering a building with intent to commit larceny.

Casey is accused of breaking into Johnny Ford’s Sports Cards and Memorabilia and stealing $15,000 to $20,000 worth of merchandise. When his car crashed, Michigan State Police reportedly recovered items that a GRPD dispatcher said had just been stolen.
