While it may be the season for ugly Christmas sweaters and all-star carol compilations, the metal community isn't best known for partaking in such holiday festivities.

Megadeth changed all that Monday night during its appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," debuting its new holiday disc "Thrashing Through the Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas" in a skit.

Showing off their great sense of humor, Dave Mustaine and Megadeth slayed through thrash versions of Christmas classics like "Frosty the Snowman" and "Do You Hear What I Hear" with snarling vocals and racing guitar riffs, scaring small children who ran away with their hands over their ears.

Capping things off, Megadeth collaborated with Jenny Lewis on the holiday classic "Baby It’s Cold Outside" before scaring her off, too.

Megadeth stuck around to perform "Kingmaker" from its latest disc "Super Collider" on Kimmel’s Sony Outdoor Stage.

While it's likely fans won't find "Thrashing Through the Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas" in their stockings this year, "Super Collider' is a great alternative."
