Michiganders Are Making Parodies of the New Detroit Sign
It wasn't that long ago that the city of Detroit made a sign like the Hollywood sign in California. Michiganders are putting up parody signs across the state.
Detroit Puts Up New Sign for NFL Draft
The City of Detroit has been doing a lot to improve its image. With the NFL Draft coming to town the city wanted to be more welcoming and installed a Detroit sign on one of the major freeways. Some smaller versions were also put up around the city.
Some Michiganders were not as impressed with the signage and it's been the butt of jokes on social media. A Detroit rapper even put out a song dissing the signage. Others love the new sign and parodies have been showing up in yards around the state.

Michiganders Making Parodies of Detroit Sign
Michiganders have been using cardboard, sticks, duct tape, and vinyl, like the one that went up in Woodhaven, a suburb in Detroit.
Like the Detroit sign or not, it is nice to see Michiganders having some simple fun while showing off their pride for the city they live in.
The Livonia sign is pretty basic and funny at the same time. I will be doing a bunch of yard work this week and have some extra cardboard, maybe I'll add a "White Cloud" sign to this madness.
St. Clair Shores may need more pride and try again with its sign.
The one that went up in Ray Township has to be my favorite because they just put up "Ray." As you can see in the video below, more signs have gone up.
