Ominous Building on Muskegon Lake Turns Heads
If you have spent time on Muskegon Lake there is one building along the lakeshore that will catch your attention. People are asking about the history of this ominous building.
Muskegon Lake
If you have ever boated or fished on Muskegon Lake you know it is a large body of water just off of Lake Michigan.
In the summer, Muskegon Lake is often covered with sailboats, playboats, fishing boats, and massive freighters.
My son and I have fished Muskegon Lake for walleye and plan on doing more in August. Last year when we were fishing at night it was during bike time and there was a band playing and we could hear them perfectly while fishing.
One thing we noticed while fishing Muskegon Lake is there are a lot of nice homes that wrap around the lakeshore but there is one building that catches our eye every time we fish the lake and we always wonder, what's in there?

I know exactly where this building is and every time my son and I are casting walleye lures at those rocks we try to guess what goes on in this building. We have never figured out what this building is used for but some people on Facebook shared a few insights.
There weren't a lot of people posting on the thread but the few that did offer some interesting comments. Chris Ambrose mentioned that a company named Sealed Power used the building once as its headquarters but has since moved to another state.

Joe Hill pointed out that KL Outdoor used to rent a floor of the building for 30K a month. Now that is some steep rent.
Chris Ambrose pointed out something I noticed: the walleye fishing out front of the building is excellent.
Malcolm McEasy provided a link to an MLive story about the building that provides some great photos if you want to see and learn about this ominous structure.
