Viral French-Asian Bakery Opens Up in Grand Rapids Next Week

When Tous Les Jours opened its first West Michigan location in Portage, I'll admit, I was jealous. The French-Asian bakery chain's eye-catching desserts and unique flavors have earned it quite the following online, and I've been wanting to try it for a while.

Well, now I don't have to make the trek to Portage, because Grand Rapids is getting its own Tous les Jours!

Viral Bakery Tous Les Jours Expands in Michigan

The name translates to "every day" in French, which fits right in with the bakery's idea of serving fresh breads, pastries, and cakes daily. Tous les Jours got its start in South Korea in 1997, blending classic French baking techniques with Asian-inspired flavors and ingredients. That combo turned it into an international favorite, with locations now popping up all over the U.S. and beyond.

Michigan first got a taste of it in Troy back in 2021, and since then it’s expanded to Ann Arbor, Novi, and most recently Portage. Now it's Grand Rapids' turn!

What's on the Menu at Tous Les Jours

One look at the menu and I can see why people are obsessed. Their gorgeous Cloud Cakes are practically celebrities online, with impossibly light sponge cake layered with fresh whipped cream.

They also serve fluffy Cloud Donuts, colorful macarons, buttery strawberry croissants, soft milk bread, garlic cream cheese bread, curry croquettes. I really like their mix of sweet and savory!

And the drink menu looks just as delicious. Alongside classic coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and cold brew, Tous les Jours is known for colorful specialty beverages like the viral Iced Ube Latte and Honey Lavender Matcha Latte. If coffee isn't your thing, you'll also find smoothies, frappes, teas, and seasonal drinks that rotate throughout the year.

Grand Rapids Grand Opening Details

The new Grand Rapids location officially celebrates its grand opening on Thursday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You’ll find it at 3581 28th St. SE in the Shops at CenterPoint.

I haven’t even tried it yet, and I already know my mom is going to be asking when we’re going. She has the biggest sweet tooth, and just the other day she was telling me she was craving a light, airy cake covered in whipped cream. After perusing Tous les Jours’ photos, I definitely think their Cloud Cakes are going to be a hit with her!
