This week the big news for a lot of restaurants is that their dining room has re-opened. Brann's Steakhouse and Grill, in Wyoming, not only has their dining room open, but they will soon be celebrating their 50th anniversary!

Now days you rarely hear of a business that has been around for five decades, especially a locally owned and operated restaurant! On Monday, July 5th, Brann's Steakhouse and Grille in Wyoming will celebrate 50 years of service to our community along with an employee appreciation event from 5-7 pm.

When you visit Brann's Steakhouse and Grille, at 4157 S. Division Ave. in Wyoming, you will usually find owner Tommy Brann working in his blue apron. And Tommy does it all! You can often find him cooking, cleaning off tables and getting them ready for the next customer, or even cleaning the restrooms. He is an owner that will fill in wherever he is needed.

The restaurant has been Tommy's second home for the last 50 years. He has been there to open the restaurant at 9 am and he's still there at 2 am to shut it back down again.

Part of the restaurant's success, even during COVID-19, has been Tommy and his wife Sue's committed to making their employees and customers their family.

Many of the people you see working at Brann's Steakhouse and Grille have been there for years...

Senior executive service Jennie Lehnertz has worked there for over 40 years! She says it is also her second home and she even has her daughter and grandson working at the restaurant with her.

Executive waiter Jermaine Jennings has also been with the restaurant for three decades, celebrating 30 years of working for Tommy Brann.

Over the years Tommy has been committed to serving the community. His restaurant has not only provided food to the homeless, but also provided jobs to individuals, including people with developmental disabilities.

More details on the celebration will be released soon. You can get additional information on the Brann's Steakhouse and Grille Facebook page.
