Underwater Themed Indoor Playground Comes to Wyoming

Back in August, we told you about Mermaid Bay, an underwater-themed indoor playground coming to Wyoming. They’d originally hoped to open in the fall—but if you’ve been waiting to check it out, the time has finally come! Currently in its soft opening phase, the grand opening is later this week with fun activities and giveaways.

So, what can you expect when you step into Mermaid Bay?

The indoor play space is packed with slides, obstacle courses, trampolines, ball pits, air cannons, and soft-sculpture climbing areas.

There are imaginative role-play zones too—your kids can run a mini hospital, cook up a storm in a pretend kitchen, or shop at their own little supermarket. And yes, there are pirates, mermaids, boats, and even real live jellyfish to admire between play sessions.

Parents can kick back while the little ones burn off energy—and if you’re thinking birthday parties or group outings, Mermaid Bay has you covered there too. Plus, there’s food for everyone: chicken nuggets, tater tots, pizza, mac and cheese, coffee, slushies, and a candy and gift shop to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Memberships start at $49.95. per month, with a punch card system that gives every 10th visit free, and one-time visit pricing is on the way.

When Does Mermaid Bay Open?

Now, here’s the exciting part: Mermaid Bay's official grand opening is Thursday, Dec. 11, starting at 4 p.m.

The celebration will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the underwater wonderland, and there will be a live mermaid performance with photo opportunities for the kids. The first 20 families to arrive will get a free one-month, one-child membership, and everyone can enjoy 20% off food and drinks during the event.

Families booking a party during Grand Opening Weekend (Dec. 11–14) will also get 10% off. The festivities continue all weekend with nonstop games, activities, and under-the-sea fun.
