Grand Rapids newest brewery opened this week on the city's West Side.

Already with one location in Eastown, Harmony Brewing Company opened Harmony Hall at 401 Stocking Ave. NW on Tuesday, WZZM-13 reports.

The location is the site of the former Little Mexico Restaurant.

Owners told WZZM-13 they chose the new location to bring life into the neighborhood.

Said co-owner Barry Van Dyke,

"Grand Rapids is an awesome place to be in the beer industry because everybody is kind of sharpening each others' skills and so its a fun place to be brewing beer. I think what sets apart is the neighborhoods we're in. We're hoping to be a fixture in the neighborhood here."

According to MLive/ The Grand Rapids Press, Harmony Hall is nearly three times larger than the Eastown location. The brewery and restaurant has 34 taps and its own butcher's table in the basement to make sausages, goulash and other menu items.
