This man jumped into a frozen river to save his dog, breaking through the ice with his hands as he forged across every inch of the way.

We are not sure how the dog got out there in the first place.

However, based on the fact the video starts with him already in the water, it's safe to assume the decision to jump in to the frozen river was made quickly.
