Google Announces Waymo, Their Fully Autonomous Car Company

Remember ten or so years ago when everyone thought that we would all have self driving cars?

Well, folks...the future is here!  Google now officially has a self-driving car entity and it's called Waymo.  The announcement was made earlier this week and, despite the car looking a little dorky, it's still pretty incredible.

Waymo has no pedals or steering wheel.  It's essentially a pod that takes you where you need to go with almost zero human interaction.  You tell it where you want to go and it takes you there.  Simple as that.

Whether you plan to drive one of these or not, you have to admit that this is pretty huge.
