West Michigan Gets Featured On Viral TikTok Dating Series
Social media dating show personality Matt Wurnig was in West Michigan this week, checking another stop off his 50 Dates 50 States list. If you haven’t seen it pop up in your feed, the premise is simple: Wurnig travels the country, going on a date in every single U.S. state and sharing the experience on TikTok and other platforms.

Women apply on his website, answering a few questions about themselves, what they’d do for a date, and any fun or unique talents they have. This season — season 3, which Wurnig says will also be the last — comes with a twist.
Each date has a heart that she will give him with her state on it. He can only choose five at the end of the season. Those finalists will head to a getaway in South Dakota for the finale, where one “winner” is picked.

Wurnig, who is now 28 and lives in Minnesota, came up with the idea for 50 Dates 50 States during the pandemic. At the time he was living in South Dakota. For fun, he decided to go on virtual dates with ladies from all 50 states. That eventually turned into the real thing—and now it’s his full-time job. People seem to dig it as well, as he's got nearly 700k followers across all platforms.
While he was in West Michigan recently, Wurnig, also known as the "TikTok Bachelor", went on a date with a local woman named Gianna. The pair went to Grand Haven at stopped at Pronto Pup. I'd have to imagine the date also included a stroll along Lake Michigan.
Wurnig seems to be a fan of Pronto Pups.

Then at one point, he says he has a tradition in the 50 dates car where he hands over his aux cord to see what kind of music his date likes. Her choice? Kid Rock's "All Summer Long". This is where Wurnig learns Kid Rock is from Michigan.
Last season, Michigan’s Payton from Monroe made it all the way to the finale, joining three other finalists for the big reveal in Times Square. In the end, the winner was Cassidy from Illinois.
This year, we’ll see if Michigan’s Gianna can make it to South Dakota for her shot at the title.
