Games to Try Before You Die: Goldeneye 007 (Nintendo 64)

Oh man it's GOLDENEYE! Most of you already know what the heck I am talking about, it's FREAKIN' GOLDENEYE MAN! This game revolutionized first person shooters that we know today. If there was no Goldeneye, what would all nighters be like without 20 cans of Surge, a large bowl of BBQ chips, and 4 friends to punch? (especially if one of them was Oddjob...)

What: Goldeneye is a first person shooter, you play as the well known James Bond. You are tasked with disabling a huge laser that can pretty much annihilate anything that is is aimed at. During your endeavor, you must also deal with your traitor friend Alec.

Why: The gameplay was stellar! A lot of fun to play this game! The most notable thing about this game though? The MULTIPLAYER! Goldeneye utilized the 4 controller ports on the front of the Nintendo 64, and you and 3 others could just blast each other away. There were other games you could do the same before Goldeneye, but this game mastered it. You could chose over 30 different characters, play different arenas, choose your weapon types, etc. Hell, the reason most people had a Nintendo 64 was for Goldeneye.

Goldeneye established everything that you do in multiplayer games today! Either be it Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, or whatever. Goldeneye was first, and still holds up like no other today!
