Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters February 9-15, 2023

Bissell Pet Foundation is sponsoring reduced adoption fees of $50 or less per animal to help pets find loving homes February 9 through 15, 2023.  All dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. This event will be hosted at rescues and shelters statewide.

Since Empty the Shelters began in 2016, the program has helped more than 138,000  animals find homes.

More than 40 locations across Michigan are participating in Empty the Shelters this month.

Empty the Shelters coincides with Humane Society of West Michigan's Long-Stay Love Adoption Special - so senior and long-stay pets are fee waived!

Note that shelter requirements vary per location. You're advised to contact the shelter directly to complete an adoption application and to learn more about their adoption process.

If you’re unable to adopt, but still want to help, you can donate to the Empty The Shelters Fund, where 100% of your contribution will help a shelter pet find a forever home.
