Are video games art?

First lets define the word, art.

Art: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. The various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance.

Do video games fit into that?

In my opinion, I think they do. I mean, movies are considered art, so why not video games right? Maybe back in the day when things were just blips and squares, that was different.

But the amount of concept art, drawing, story telling, to create a game is just massive. Art is required to even have a video game!

I was watching this video below on the internet's and he makes a pretty good point on if video games can be considered art.
